Matt joined the firm as an associate in 2005.

Areas of Practice Matt is an associate of the firm practicing in the areas of general civil and environmental litigation. He has represented clients in matters involving various state and federal environmental laws, insurance coverage disputes, trade secret litigation and contract disputes and negotiations. Matt is a member of the Business and Environmental Law sections of the State Bar of California, and is also a member of the San Diego County Bar Association.

Education Matt received his B.A. in Political Science and Psychology from Stanford University in June of 2002. While an undergraduate at Stanford, Matt was a four-year letter winner, two-year starter for the football team including Stanford's 2000 Rose Bowl and 2001 Seattle Bowl teams. Matt received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2005. While in law school, he served as Mediation Coordinator for the Pro Bono Legal Advocates coordinating and conducting mediations in San Diego County's Small Claims Courts with USD law students and the National Conflict Resolution Center.

Outside Interests In his spare time, Matt enjoys sports, travel, the outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends. Matt also enjoys planning and coordinating an annual golf tournament in honor of his brother which raises money for research and awareness of Cystic Fibrosis.
